Shoe Stores in South Delhi Worth Visiting
South Delhi has some of the best men's shoe shopping in the city. The combination of premium malls, independent multi-brand stores, and direct-to-consumer workshops means you can find everything from international brands to handcrafted domestic labels within a few neighbourhoods. Here's where to go depending on what you're looking for.
Dapper Shoes Co. — Okhla Studio
Our flagship studio is at A-80, Okhla Industrial Area Phase II — in the heart of one of Delhi's original manufacturing zones. This is where we make our shoes and where the full collection is available to try. Handcrafted full-grain leather Oxfords, loafers, monk straps, and derbies, all made in small batches at the same address. Bespoke custom shoes are available exclusively here.
Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm. Get directions here.
D Shoe Lounge — Greater Kailash I
A well-curated multi-brand shoe store on the M Block market in GK1. Carries a mix of domestic and international brands across dress and casual footwear. Worth visiting if you want to compare multiple labels side by side. The edit is generally reliable and the stock moves regularly.
Ambience Mall — Vasant Kunj
The largest premium mall in South Delhi. D Shoe Lounge has a presence here as well, alongside several international brand stores. Good for browsing if you want to see a wide range in one place, though the international brands at this end of the price spectrum don't always represent the best value compared to what domestic workshops can offer.
Khan Market area
Khan Market itself has a handful of shoe retailers, ranging from basic to mid-range. The more interesting independent stores are in the surrounding lanes. Worth a walk if you're in the area, though the selection is less consistent than the dedicated stores elsewhere in South Delhi.
Lajpat Nagar market
Central Market in Lajpat Nagar has a large number of shoe shops covering a wide price range. The quality varies significantly and you need to know what you're looking for, but it's one of the best places in Delhi to find domestic brands at accessible prices. Arrive with specific criteria — material, construction, style — and you'll find something worthwhile.
What to look for regardless of where you shop
Three things: full-grain leather (ask specifically — don't accept "premium leather" as an answer), a rubber sole built for real use, and a construction method you can identify. If the salesperson doesn't know what leather the shoe is made from, that's information in itself.
If you want to cut through the uncertainty and buy direct from the people who made the shoe, our Okhla studio is open Monday to Saturday. We're happy to talk through the construction and materials of every pair we make.
